    Maharashtra MH CET B Ed Entrance Syllabus Pattern Exam date


    Entrance Exam: For admission into B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) Course in various B.Ed colleges in Maharashtra, it is done through CET exam conducted by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra.

    Eligibility: Candidate who have completed their Graduation/ Post Graduation from recognized Non- Agriculture University/ Agriculture University/Open University/Deemed University in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Home Science/ / Agriculture Science/ Computer/ Information Technology/ Engineering/ B. S. W. faculty in the School/ Higher secondary subjects and the candidates belonging to Open, OBC and Special B C Category who have secured minimum 45% marks, Candidates of Backward Class category, who have secured minimum 40% marks and candidates of OutsideMaharashtra Universities belonging to all categories who have secured minimum 45% marks at Graduate/Post Graduate degree will be eligible for CET examination being conducted for B. Ed. Admission
    Students desirous of seeking admission to English Medium Colleges of Education will have to appear for English Language Knowledge Test along with CET. It is essential for the candidates to secure minimum 25 marks (50%) out of 50.
    Reservation: As per the Government policy regarding the reservation, while filling the 70% and 30% seats in the Colleges of Education 50% seats of the total intake capacity will be reserved for Backward Class and Other Backward Class categories. The category-wise reservation is as under :

    How to Apply: B. Ed. Information Brochure with attached Sample Application Form will be available at the Authorized
    Learning Centres (ALC) identified and established by Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited.(The Prescribed Application Processing Fee is Rs.650/- for Open and OBC and SBC candidates and Rs. 350/- for backward class candidates in Maharashtra. The Processing fee will Rs. 650/- for all category candidates from Outside MaharashtraCandidates. The Candidate desirous of applying can pay the specified fee and obtain the Information Brochure along with the sample application form .
    Data of Issue of Application: The tentative dates of issue of application for CET would be in April
    Exam Date: The tentative dates of Pre-Teacher Education Test would be conducted in the last week of May
    Exam Fee: 1. Rs 650/- for Open/OBC/SBC categories and Outside Maharashtra all categories Candidates
    2. Rs. 350/- for the Backward Class candidate from the Maharashtra State
    Medium of CET: Medium of CET will be Marathi/English only.
    Exam Pattern: The CET will comprise of the subjects namely, Mental Ability, Teacher Aptitude and General Knowledge of 50 marks and will be of one hour duration.
    Qualification: The minimum qualifying marks in CET for Open, O.B.C and S.B.C. category candidates should be 18 marks out 50, for B. C. categories candidates 15 marks and the candidates from Out of Maharashtra Universities belonging to all categories, 18 marks for getting eligible for admission to B. Ed. Course.
    Procedure of deciding the ranking in the merit list:
    Based on the marks obtained by the candidate and the Common Entrance Test, the merit list of the eligible candidates will be prepared taking into consideration following points:
    a) 50% of the sum of the marks obtained as per the rule 1.6 in this booklet and the additional marks obtained as per the rule 2.1/2.2/2.3
    b) Marks obtained by the candidate in the CET
    c) Order of Merit will be decided on the basis of the sum of the scores in A and B above
    Declaration of Results: The Results of MKCL B.Ed CET Will be declared around in the last week of June. The Result will be available in the website http://oasis.mkcl.org/bed . The results also can be found here directlyhttp://oasis.mkcl.org/bed/StaticPages/CETResult.aspx

    Admission Process: Admission process will be Merit-cum- Option based and Computer Assisted. The candidates fulfilling the minimum norms of admission and those who have appeared for degree examination in March-April 2010 has to approach the Authorized Learning Centre (ALC) of MKCL to get the application form and submit the filled form. Incomplete and wrongly filled in application form will be summarily rejected.
    The next procedure will be as follows:
    1) Candidate should obtain CET Admission Card within the stipulated period as mentioned in the time table from concern ALC.
    2) Candidate should appear for CET as per scheduled Time Table.
    3) CET result will be declared as per schedule in the Time Table.
    4) Candidate should collect CET Mark Memo as per scheduled in Time Table from concern ALC.
    Allotment of Seats: The Provisional Admission to the college will be given according to merit and preference of colleges taking into consideration the seats available for a particular Method of Teaching in the College of Education, Medium of instruction and preferences given by the candidates. The process of Admission will be carried out by the computer.
    Merit List:
    1. Merit lists of a eligible candidates from the applications received will be prepared Medium wise, Subject wise, Category wise as well as for internal reservation of Handicap and Ex-/ Active servicemen for 70% and 28% Quota separate merit list for 2 % and Kashmiri Migrants will be prepared.
    2. The Merit list Information will be available on the website http://oasis.mkcl.org/bed and at ALC.
    Duration of B.Ed Course: The Colleges offers One Year Secondary Teacher Education Programme known as B.Ed.
    Fee for B.Ed Course: As per G.R. 2001 B.Ed./(442/07) Mashi-3, 24 May 2002 and G.R. No. STC 2003/B.Ed. Adm. (11 0/03)Mashi- , Dt.7th May 2003, the Tuition Fee for the academic year 2010-2011 shall be as follows :
    A. For Government and Aided Colleges of Education: Rs. 14,774/-
    B. Unaided Colleges of Education - Fee as decided by the ‘Shikshan Shulka Samiti’.
