    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
    Postgraduate and Graduate Admission Requirements (opens new window)
    The normal requirement for admission is one of the following:  
    • (i) A relevant undergraduate degree
    • (ii) A relevant graduate diploma
    • (iii) A professional qualification in a relevant discipline approved by the Postgraduate Board of Studies to be equivalent to at least a three year undergraduate degree
      AND
    • Relevant engineering or managerial work experience as determined by the Postgraduate Board of Studies
      OR
    • (iv) Professional experience deemed by the Postgraduate Board of Studies to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree.

    PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
    MCM develops knowledge and skills required for the future construction industry, providing the management expertise necessary for delivering successful projects in a business environment. 

    Papers range from project management to production management, construction economics, business management, and advanced technology.
    Programme leaders will help you tailor papers that best cover the programme requirements and future career outcomes for you.


    PROGRAMME DELIVERY
    MCM is flexible and designed to fit a working professional’s life while still accessible to the full time student. 

    Block papers are intensive and delivered over a few days by experienced academics in conjunction with industry professionals. An individual paper has three blocks per 6 months.
    Other papers are delivered on a weekly basis over a 2 month period. For those in full time employment, the programme can be studied on a part-time basis, over a time period of 2 to 4 years


    PAPERSA total of 120 points must be achieved to complete the MCM qualification, with 90 points from the core papers of the schedule and 30 points as elective papers.
    There is also the possibility of substituting 30 points from any Masters degree offered by AUT, subject to Programme Leader approval. This provides an opportunity for those interested to take a number of relevant and related papers from other areas, such as business.
